Biochem/physiol Actions
7β-羟基胆固醇（7β-OHC）通过基于半胱天冬酶8的线粒体途径促进细胞凋亡。它还通过产生活性氧（ROS）阻碍癌细胞的存活。多发性硬化症和阿尔茨海默′病（AD）患者的脑脊液中7β-OHC水平升高。7β-OHC还促进氧化凋亡和脱髓鞘。它激活丝裂原活化蛋白激酶并调节细胞内Ca2+稳态，可能有助于高尔基体和内质网膜的解体。
