General description
E. coli / Coliform supplement is a mixture of two antibiotics in lyophilized form. Vancomycin inhibits the growth of Gram-positive bacteria. Cefsulodin suppresses the growth of Pseudomonas spp. and Aeromonas spp. This selective supplement can be used in combination with most E. coli / Coliform enrichment media and plating agars.
Application
E. coli / Coliform Selective-Supplement is an additive for the preparation of selective culture media for the detection of E. coli / Coliforms in water, food, and environmental samples.
