General description

L-Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin found in various foodstuffs. It is useful in the biosynthesis of collagen, L-carnitine, and neurotransmitters. Vitamin C is also function as an antioxidant.

Application

L-Ascorbic acid-3-13C (vitamin C-3-13C) is also known as L-threoascorbic acid-3-13C. This stable isotope internal standard is suitable for the quantitation of L-ascorbic acid in dietary supplements, fortified foods or biological fluids using a variety of testing applications.
