General description

16:0-22:6 PS or 1-palmitoyl-2-docosahexaenoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine is a glycerophospholipid having, palmitic acid and docosahexaenic acid attached to the sn-1 and sn-2 positions of the glycerol backbone. The phospholipid in this compound is phosphoserine, a negatively charged lipid.

Application

16:0-22:6 PS or 1-palmitoyl-2-docosahexaenoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine (sodium salt) has been used as a calibration standard for lipidomic analysis.
