General description

柯萨奇病毒和腺病毒受体(CAR)介导柯萨奇B病毒和许多腺病毒的细胞附着和感染。CAR还介导同型细胞间相互作用。在极化的上皮细胞中,CAR与紧密连接紧密相关,在紧密连接中,CAR有助于溶质和大分子的细胞旁流动。CAR′s的生物学作用尚不明确,但新出现的证据表明它可能在胚胎发育和调节细胞增殖中起作用。
