General description
在CpG二核苷酸的情况下，NA甲基转移酶会甲基化胞嘧啶的5-位。DNA甲基化对于正常胚胎发育、印迹和X染色体失活至关重要。甲基CpG结合蛋白（MeCPs）可特异性识别DNA的甲基化区域，并直接或通过与已知共抑制蛋白（包括组蛋白脱乙酰基酶蛋白家族成员）结合来抑制转录。

Immunogen
KLH偶联肽，对应于小鼠MeCP2的氨基酸465-478（C-PRPNREEPVDSRTP），同时N端添加了半胱氨酸以进行偶联。
