General description

95-100kDa
多梳蛋白家族复合物负责哺乳动物和昆虫中数百个基因的调控。这些蛋白质负责染色质的组装和包装,并诱导组蛋白H3甲基化。EZH2(zeste同源物2的增强子)是蛋白质多梳家族的成员,可参与细胞周期调控。RNAi介导的EZH2敲低会导致H3K27三甲基化损失,该结果表明EZH2可通过Lys27(H3K27)上组蛋白H3的三甲基化抑制转录。该蛋白在激素难治性前列腺癌中大量表达。在乳腺癌等恶性肿瘤中,EZH2表达量增加,同时在体外会促进锚着非依赖和侵袭性生长。
