Application

Hydrogen peroxide 30% can be used as an oxidizing agent:

To synthesize 5-bromo-2-nitropyridine from 5-bromo-2-aminopyridine in the presence of H₂SO₄.
For the oxidation of aromatic and aliphatic sulfides to sulfoxides or sulfones.
For the epoxidation of terminal olefins using a mixture of Na₂WO₄ dihydrate, (aminomethyl)phosphonic acid, and methyltrin-octylammonium hydrogensulfate.
To prepare adipic acid via oxidation of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol in the presence of H₂WO₄ as a catalyst.
To convert cyclopentanone to δ-valerolactone via Baeyer−Villiger-oxidation in the presence of a solid acid catalyst.
