General description
NG2是一种高分子量，整合膜硫酸软骨素蛋白聚糖。它在发育中和成熟的中枢神经系统内的一种不常见神经胶质细胞表面上发现，这些细胞具有少突胶质细胞前体细胞（即O-2A祖细胞）的特性。NG2还存在于成软骨细胞，增殖的毛细血管内皮细胞，某些人黑素瘤细胞系以及儿童急性淋巴细胞白血病中的白血病胚细胞表面。NG2蛋白聚糖可能在调节细胞运动，轴突生长和对血小板源性生长因子的细胞反应中起作用。
