General description
Adiponectin is a key adipokine secreted by adipose tissue that plays a central role in regulating glucose levels and fatty acid breakdown. It enhances insulin sensitivity, exhibits anti-inflammatory properties, and is inversely correlated with obesity and metabolic syndrome. Measuring adiponectin levels in mouse models provides valuable insights into metabolic health, insulin resistance, and the efficacy of therapeutic interventions targeting adipose tissue function.
Application
MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Analyze adiponectin in mouse serum or plasma samples.
Analyte included: Adiponectin
Assay Characteristics: Refer to assay protocol for details on cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

A pivotal role for adipose tissue homeostasis in systemic sclerosis (SSc) skin fibrosis is increasingly recognized. The nuclear receptor PPAR-γ is the master regulator of adipogenesis. Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor-γ (PPAR-γ) has antifibrotic effects by blocking transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β)
