General description
在塑料组织培养板中，细胞只能从顶侧接触培养基，但是在Millicell®组织培养小室中，细胞可以从顶侧和底侧接触培养基。使细胞生长、结构和功能更能模拟体内的情形。
培养小室’的突缘设计使其在培养板孔内部悬空，并且可以接触细胞单层的两侧。三个突起臂（protruding arm）之间的空间有助于培养小室外侧和培养板孔之间的移液。
