General description

Biochem/physiol Actions

作为非硫醇还原剂，它不具有含巯基化合物固有的毒性。它能够破坏由单个二硫键连接的肉毒杆菌神经毒素B重链/轻链复合物，该复合物导致毒素的内吞并最终产生毒性。由于二硫键偶联亚基是许多毒素（如蓖麻毒素、蛇毒和所有BoNT血清型）的特有基团，因此，在毒素给药时可使用TCEP作为抢救预防措施。
