General description

花生四烯酸的 K_M = 6.5 μM。表现出与非标记酶相似的 NSAID 活性和敏感性。

Biochem/physiol Actions

COX-2 催化花生四烯酸转化为前列腺素 H ₂（前列腺素、血栓素和前列环素生物合成的第一步）。它是由佛波醇酯，脂多糖和细胞因子诱导的诱导形式的环加氧酶。COX-2 在恶性肿瘤的新生血管中表达上调。非甾体抗炎药 (NSAIDs) 抑制 COX-2 与肿瘤生长减少有关。
