General description
每mL弗氏完全佐剂含有1 mg热灭活和干燥处理的 结核分枝杆菌 (H37Ra, ATCC 25177)、0.85 mL石蜡油和0.15 mL失水甘露醇单油酸酯。
Application
弗氏佐剂可用于产生免疫原的油包水乳剂。油包水乳剂中的抗原可刺激高且持久的抗体应答，而这可归因于抗原的缓慢释放。
通常将抗原（优选在盐水中）与等体积的佐剂混合以形成乳剂。
Biochem/physiol Actions
弗氏完全佐剂中的分枝杆菌可将巨噬细胞和其他细胞吸引到注射部位，从而增强免疫应答。鉴于此原因，将弗氏完全佐剂用于初始注射，而将弗氏不完全佐剂用于随后的加强注射。
