General description

法尼基焦磷酸是由15碳组成的类异戊二烯，在法尼基焦磷酸合成酶（FPPS）的作用下由牻牛儿焦磷酸（GPP）合成。

Application

法尼基焦磷酸铵盐用于：

用作人成骨肉瘤细胞的异戊二烯化激动剂，用于基于胶原的细胞侵袭试验
人脐静脉内皮细胞（HUVECs）中肝细胞生长因子（HGF）的异戊二烯化
用作底物，用于硅藻（Haslea ostrearia）异戊二烯基转移酶测定。

Biochem/physiol Actions

法尼基焦磷酸（FPP）是生物合成胆固醇、泛醌和多萜醇的前体。是细胞内甲羟戊酸途径的一部分。FPP是细胞存活所必需的物质，用于某些低分子质量G蛋白（含Ras）的异戊二烯化。抑制异戊二烯化可造成Ras蛋白丧失致癌潜能。抑制异戊二烯化具有治疗潜力，或可用于突触可塑性和阿尔兹海默′病的治疗。
