B-cell receptor-associated protein 31 is a protein encoded by the BCAP31 gene in humans. It is a 28kDa polytopic integral protein of the ER and is a part of large BAP hetero-oligomeric complex. It interacts with mIgD, cellubrevin, major histocompatibility complex class I, and BCL-2/BCL-X(L). It plays an important role in regulating the egress of these proteins and in apoptosis. The protein expression is restricted to a minority of cells in normal human tissue.
