Anti-MAP1LC3A antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . MAP1LC3A (microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 α) gene encodes a light chain subunit that can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B, which are microtubule-associated proteins involved in the interaction between microtubules and cytoskeleton components. The light chain is an essential component of the autophagic vacuole and serves as a maker of autophagy induction. Its accumulation in colorectal tumor cells serves as a good prognostic marker. MAP1LC3A may play a role in the development of breast cancer.
