General description
BCL2 关联X凋亡调节因子（BAX）基因具有 6 个外显子和 5 个介入内含子，长度为 6.939 个碱基。BAX 基因中有五种蛋白质编码转录本（αψβδεσ） 。BAX 蛋白是 B 细胞淋巴瘤 2 (BCL2) 蛋白家族的成员，可以单体、同型二聚体或异源二聚体的形式存在。BAX位于线粒体、线粒体外膜、内质网膜、线粒体膜通透性转换孔复合体和细胞质中。BAX基因位于人染色体19q13.33上。
