General description
10% Neutral Buffered Formalin is the most used fixative throughout the world for light microscopy. Formalin solution is the commercially obtained solution containing 37% w/w (40% w/v) of formaldehyde in water. It requires a relatively short period of fixation. It is suitable for the long-term storage of tissue. Once properly fixed, the tissue should be able to withstand the subsequent stages of tissue processing or staining.
Application
10%的福尔马林中性缓冲溶液可用作血液病理学中免疫过氧化物酶法诊断应用的组织初步固定试剂。
常用的通用组织学固定剂。
Biochem/physiol Actions
Formaldehyde is both a non-coagulant and an additive fixative. Formalin fixation is thought to form cross links between the aldehydes and the proteins, creating a gel, thus retaining cellular constituents in their in vivo relationship. Formaldehyde is known to penetrate tissue quickly, but the fixation process may take a long time to form the various cross links with tissue proteins.
Features and Benefits
- 10% NBF is well-suited for large throughput laboratories.
- It requires a relatively short period of fixation.
- It can be used for the long-term storage of tissue.

The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a crucial effector in a complex signaling network commonly disrupted in cancer. mTOR exerts its multiple functions in the context of two different multiprotein complexes: mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1) and mTOR complex 2
