General description

与二碘酪氨酸偶联的碘酪氨酸可合成 3，5，3′-三碘甲状腺原氨酸 (T3) 或 3,3′,5′-三碘甲状腺原氨酸 (rT3)。

Application

3-碘-L-酪氨酸已作为酪氨酸羟化酶的抑制剂用于果蝇和蚕蛹。

Biochem/physiol Actions

3-碘酪氨酸 (3-IY) 抑制酪氨酸羟化酶，后者催化酪氨酸形成左旋多巴。严重甲减和甲状腺肿时，碘酪氨酸脱碘酶缺乏导致血清和尿中 3-IY 水平升高。

TH（酪氨酸 3-羟化酶）负责催化去甲肾上腺素能生物合成途径的第一步。TH 突变与酪氨酸羟化酶缺乏相关，导致诸如婴儿型帕金森综合征和多巴（多巴胺）反应性肌张力障碍以及围产期发病的脑病。
