Biochem/physiol Actions
金属蛋白酶组织抑制因子-2 (TIMP-2) 在抑制基质金属蛋白酶 (MMPs) 中发挥重要角色，并在多种生理过程中作为细胞外基质沉积和降解的关键调节剂发挥作用。TIMP-2 在体外也可通过非基质金属蛋白酶 (MMP) 依赖性机制抑制内皮细胞增殖 发挥作用 。TIMP-2 在体内介导抗血管生成活性 。TIMP-2 是 microRNA-miR-22 的靶基因。TIMP-2 作为细胞周期阻滞的生物标志物。
