General description
脑源性神经营养因子（BDNF）基因定位于人类染色体11p14.1上。该基因编码前体蛋白proBDNF。成熟的BDNF（mBDNF）是通过proBDNF的翻译后切割合成的。
该ELISA抗体对可检测大鼠和人BDNF。其他物种尚未测定。

Biochem/physiol Actions
脑源性神经营养因子（BDNF）参与人类的海马功能和言语情节记忆。BDNF在血管功能中也起着至关重要的作用，并通过特异性受体原肌球蛋白相关激酶B（TrkB）参与血管生成。它参与了阿尔茨海默′病的发病机制。
