General description
小鼠单克隆(小鼠IgG1同种型)抗-β-tubulin抗体衍生于由小鼠骨髓瘤细胞与免疫小鼠的脾细胞融合而产生的2-28-33杂交瘤细胞。微管蛋白也称为TUBB,是微管的主要组成单位。微管由α-微管蛋白和β-微管蛋白的异二聚体组装而成;两者的分子量均约为50 kDa并具有相当的同源性。β-微管蛋白已经鉴定出常用于不同物种的相同细胞类型的五个进化上保守的同种型。

Biochem/physiol Actions
单克隆抗-β-tubulin抗体可特异性识别自由生活土壤线虫秀丽隐杆线虫的两种主要β-tubulin同种型和一种次要β-tubulin同种型。它也能够与来自紫色球海胆精子轴突的Sarkosyl抵抗带、玻璃海鞘(海鞘类)幼虫的神经元轴突、拟南芥根尖细胞中的微管以及人、小鼠、大鼠、猴、牛、狗和鸡的β-tubulin发生结合。不同β-tubulin同种型显示出不同的聚合成微管能力。
