General description
IL-4（白介素4）是一种多效价细胞因子，由肥大细胞、T细胞和骨髓基质细胞产生。重组鼠IL-4是含有120个氨基酸残基的13.7kDa球状蛋白质。
Biochem/physiol Actions
它调节多种 T 和 B 细胞应答，包括细胞增殖、存活和基因表达。IL-4 调节初始 CD4 + T 细胞分化为辅助性 Th2（T 辅助）细胞，其特征为细胞因子分泌配置文件，包括 IL-4、IL-5、IL-6、IL-10 和 IL-13 的分泌，有利于体液免疫应答。IL-4 的另一个主要功能是调节免疫球蛋白类别转换为 IgG1（免疫球蛋白 G1）和 IgE 同种型。Th2 细胞产生过多的 IL-4 与 IgE 产生升高和过敏有关。IL-4 通过控制小胶质细胞/巨噬细胞的活性有助于脑缺血后的长期恢复。在小鼠中，IL-4 的缺失与一种状态类焦虑行为相关。

Preparation Note
打开前离心小瓶。用水复溶至 0.1-1.0 mg/mL 浓度。切勿涡旋。该溶液可在 2-8°C 条件下至多储存 1 周。对于长期储存，建议在含有稳定剂（例如 5% 海藻糖）的缓冲液中进一步稀释，并在-20°C 至-80°C 下储存。
