General description
单克隆抗色氨酸羟化酶(小鼠IgG3 亚型)来自于小鼠骨髓瘤细胞和BALB/c小鼠脾细胞融合产生的WH-3杂交瘤细胞。色氨酸羟化酶(TPH;L-色氨酸四氢蝶啶:氧气氧化还原酶;EC 1.14.16.4),用于合成血清素的限速酶,是一种只存在于含血清素的神经元中的特殊酶。
色氨酸羟化酶1基因(TPH1)是一个含444个氨基酸的蛋白质,由跨越29kbp的基因编码,位于具有11个外显子的人染色体11p15.3-p14上。该酶表达于肠、脾、胸腺、垂体以及松果体中。

Biochem/physiol Actions
色氨酸羟化酶1基因(TPH1)催化5-羟色氨酸的合成,而5-羟色氨酸是神经递质5-羟色胺的前体。基因表达的变化会影响反应抑制过程中前额叶皮层的激活。TPH1基因的突变会导致精神分裂症,女性肠易激综合征(IBS),自杀行为和抑郁症。编码的蛋白质在调节心血管功能中起着至关重要的作用。
