Application
3,3′,5,5′-四甲基联苯胺已用作竞争法和间接法酶联免疫吸附分析(ELISA)的底物。
3,3′,5,5′-四甲基联苯胺（TMB）是一种二氨基联苯胺的非致癌性取代物（Ames测试阴性）适合在ELISA实验中作为过氧化物酶底物。底物产生可溶性终产物，淡蓝色，分光光度检测在370或620-650nm可以读峰值。TMB反应能被2M H2SO4终止（产生黄色），在450nm处可读。一种高敏感，特异性试剂用于检测血液，血红蛋白实验，过氧化物酶实验。
