L-色氨酸已用于PreC培养基的制备和细胞培养。

Biochem/physiol Actions

色氨酸（Trp）是与生长、繁殖、维持和免疫相关的功能性氨基酸之一。增加Trp可用性对于调节情绪、认知和行为是十分必要的。据推测，L-Trp可能有助于抵抗正常的昼夜节律，诱导健康成年人的睡眠。大脑的Trp摄取取决于Trp与所有其他LNAA（大分子中性氨基酸）的血浆比率。Trp：LNAAs比率越高，Trp摄取越多。
