Cyclin E (UniProt: P24864; also known as G1/S-specific cyclin-E1) is encoded by the CCNE1 (also known as CCNE) gene (Gene ID: 898) in human. Cyclin E is a nuclear protein that is essential for the control of the cell cycle at the G1/S transition. Its high expression is observed in testis and placenta and lower expression is observed in bronchial epithelial cells. The major role of cyclin E is to promote the assembly of the prereplication complex, through the loading of Cdc6 to the origins of replication and recruitment of the minichromosome maintenance protein complex (Mcm2-7), during the transition from quiescent G0 to G1 phases of the cell cycle and subsequently to trigger replication origin to allow cells to enter S phase. Cyclin E interacts with CDK2 to form a serine/threonine kinase holoenzyme complex where the cyclin subunit imparts substrate specificity to the complex. Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Blotting in K562 cell nuclear extract.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected Cyclin E in K562 cells nuclear extract.

Tested Applications

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Cyclin E in Human placenta tissue sections.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Cyclin E in K562 cells.

Clone 1C7 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Cyclin E. It targets an epitope within 21 amino acids from the N-terminal region.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.

Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.
