General description

Palladium(Pd) is a silver-white noble transition metal in the platinum group of metals. Relative to the platinum group metals, Pd has the lowest density, 12 g/cm3, and lowest melting point, 1555 °C. Pd is known for its strong catalytic activity and is used in various applications such as electrical equipment, dental materials, implanted medical devices, and automobile catalysts. Additionally, it is also extensively employed in the preparation of diverse heterogeneous palladium catalysts for various organic transformations. Our high-purityPd powder is differentiated by its high trace metals purity, which makes it particularly useful in sensitive research projects in electronics, catalysis, and synthesis.

Application

  • Advances in silicon-carbon composites anodes derived from agro wastes for applications in lithium-ion battery: A review.: This review highlights the integration of graphite with silicon derived from agricultural waste to create high-performance anodes for lithium-ion batteries, underscoring the importance of sustainable material sources in battery technology (Fafure et al., 2024).

  • Edge-enhanced super microgenerator based on a two-dimensional Schottky junction.: Graphite′s electrical properties are leveraged to enhance the efficiency of microgenerators, contributing significantly to advancements in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and energy harvesting technologies (Yu et al., 2024).

  • Batch and semi-continuous treatment of cassava wastewater using microbial fuel cells and metataxonomic analysis.: Demonstrates graphite′s application in microbial fuel cells for the treatment of wastewater, providing an environmentally friendly solution for waste management and energy generation in industrial processes (Quintero-Díaz and Gil-Posada, 2024).

A one-pot two-step synthesis of versatile indenones has been developed. This palladium(II)-catalyzed transformation involves generation and condensation of ortho-functionalized 1,2-benzils from 2-(2-arylethynylphenyl)acetonitriles using Ph2SO as the oxidant. The resulting 3-cyanoindenones can be converted to various valuable molecules.
