A novel kind of immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) column based on organic-inorganic hybrid silica monolith has been developed. The monolithic support was prepared in a 250 microm i.d. capillary by the sol-gel method with tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES)

The herbicides amitrole and glyphosate, and its metabolite aminomethyl-phosphonic acid (AMPA), in water samples have been directly analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography using an electrochemical (EC) detector. Limits of detection of 0.3 microg mL(-1) for glyphosate, 0.05 microg mL(-1) for

New methods were developed to determine glyphosate, N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, and its major metabolite, (aminomethyl)phosphonic acid in groundwater and soil. The methods involve ligand-exchange, anion-exchange and derivatisation and final identification and quantification by GC-MS. The limits of quantification in this experiment were
