General description

Barium titanate(IV) (BaTiO3) is a ceramic material that can be synthesized by reacting titanium oxide (TiO2) and barium salts in the presence of oleic acid as a stabilizing agent. It has a cubic crystal structure, which allows it to have ferroelectric, thermoelectric and piezoelectric properties. It forms a film with intense photoluminescence, which can be used for a wide range of electronic applications.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products that adhere to one of the four categories of Greener Alternatives. This is an enabling product that serves as a piezoelectric material, enhancing energy harvesting and storage in electronic devices, thereby improving overall energy efficiency. Click here for more information.

Application

BaTiO3 can be used to produce a nanocomposite for the fabrication of flexible nanogenerators. It can also be used as a filler material that can enhance the dielectric property of the composite.
