General description
Lithiumacetate (LiOAc), a lithium salt derived from acetic acid, possesses moderate water solubility, and exhibits a relatively high ionic conductivity. Application
Lithium acetate can be used:
Lithium acetate is used to create lithium containing perovskite thin films. Additionally, lithium ethanoate can be utilized to create thin film electrodes for lithium ion batteries, such as spinel Li4Ti5O12.
- As an additive in the formation of a "water-in-bisalt" electrolyte for the application in rechargeable lithium batteries. It helps to regulate the cation size and composition of the electrolyte, influencing its conductivity, stability, and overall electrochemical properties.
- As a component in the fabrication of solid polymer electrolytes. It enhances the ionic conductivity and electrochemical properties of the polymer electrolyte for its application as a separator in lithium-ion batteries.
- As a component in the development of nanocomposite polymer electrolytes for solid-state supercapacitor applications.
