General description

An internal standard suitable for quantification of methcathinone in novel psychoactive substance (NPS) testing methods by LC/MS or GC/MS for applications in forensic analysis, urine drug testing, or clinical toxicology. Known by street names “Em-kat” and “Khat”, methcathinone is an illicit drug with stimulant and euphoric effects.  This drug has also been found in products marketed as bath salts.
