Biochem/physiol Actions
Recognizes Cortactin phosphorylated on tyrosine 421. Cortactin is an 80-85 kDa actin-binding protein, which consists of a variety of protein domains. The nature and function of these domains, coupled with the presence of multiple consensus sites for phosphorylation by tyrosine and serine/threonine kinases, suggests that cortactin integrates activation of specific signaling pathways with cytoskeletal reorganization.
Physical form
Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in 1mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% Sodium azide.
Preparation Note
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months after receipt.

The gastric pathogen Helicobacter pylori colonizes approximately half of the human world population. The bacterium injects the effector protein cytotoxin associated gene A (CagA) via a type-IV secretion system into host epithelial cells, where the protein becomes phosphorylated at specific
