General description
Apigenin 7-glucoside is a flavone belonging to the class of polyphenols and is commonly found in Thymus species. It shows a broad spectrum of pharmacological properties such as antispasmodic, bactericidal, expectorant, antihelmintic, adstringent, antitussive and carminative agent.
Application
Apigenin 7-glucoside may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in Thymus species and Olea europaea using different chromatography techniques.
