Description

General description

Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. Ubidecarenone is a dietary supplement, and a cardiovascular agent employed in the treatment of angina pectoris and congestive cardiac failure. Its mode of action involves the improvement of cardiac output by increasing the contractive force of the heart through positive inotropic action.

Application

Ubidecarenone may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in combined pharmaceutical dosage form using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography technique.
