Application
tert-Butanol can be used as a solvent in the oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid using Cu-MnO2 as a catalyst and tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as an oxidant. Mixture of tert-butanol and methanol solvent system is used in the synthesis of glycerol dioleates (GDO) via lipase-catalyzed esterification of glycerol with oleic acid.

The maturation and function of osteoblasts (OBs) rely heavily on the reversible phosphorylation of signaling proteins. To date, most of the work in OBs has focused on phosphorylation by tyrosyl kinases, but little has been revealed about dephosphorylation by protein

Local membrane phospholipid enrichment serves as docking platform for signaling proteins involved in many processes including cell adhesion and migration. Tissue-resident dendritic cells (DCs) assemble actomyosin-based structures called podosomes, which mediate adhesion and degradation of extracellular matrix for migration and

Rhodococci are highly adaptable bacteria, capable to degrade or transform a large number of organic compounds, including recalcitrant or toxic products. However, little information is available on the lipases of the genus Rhodococcus, except for LipR, the first lipase isolated
