Description

General description

The product is anhydrous sodium thiosulfate (Na₂S₂O₃). It can be obtained from Na₂S₂O₃.10H₂O by heating above 100°C. It can be synthesized from sodium sulfate.

Application

Sodium thiosulfate (Na₂S₂O₃) may be used in the following studies:

Industrial synthesis of methylene blue.
Quantitative estimation of elemental iodine by titrimetry.
Detection of trace levels of cysteine by employing triangular silver nanoplates (TAg-NPs).
