General description

Zinc nitrate hexahydrate is an inorganic zinc salt. It is used as a zinc precursor in organic synthesis.

Application

Zinc nitrate hexahydrate is used as a zinc precursor in the preparation of:
  • ZnO (zinc oxide) nanoparticles.
  • Zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs), which is used as a catalyst in the photocatalytic degradation of HPAM (hydrolyzed polyacrylamide).
