Potassium hexacyanoferrate(II) trihydrate is a hydrated form of potassium hexacyanoferrate. It is used as a cyanating agent for the direct cyanation of (hetero)aromatic halides to synthesize (hetero)aromatic nitriles in the presence of a metal catalyst.
