General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which belong to one of the four categories of greener alternatives. Sodium acetate trihydrate supports sustainable technologies as an eco-friendly phase change material for thermal energy storage, offering efficient heat retention and release while reducing energy waste and promoting cleaner energy solutions.Click here for more information.

Application

Sodium acetate trihydrate has been used:
  • to prepare buffer stock solution/sodium acetate buffer 0.2M for gallium-68 (Ga-68) DOTA-(Tyr3)-octreotate (DOTATATE) chemicals
  • in the preparation of ferric reduction ability of serum (FRAS) reagent for FRAS assay
  • in the preparation of sodium acetate solution to prepare sodium acetate (NaOAc) buffers for radiolabeling

Biochem/physiol Actions

Sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT) is a phase change material (PCM) that can be easily combined with the preparation of domestic hot water, space heating, solar heating, and radiant floor heating systems. The hydrated salt of SAT possesses high latent heat density and thus can be used for low-temperature heat storage.
