General description

Penicillin streptomycin, also known as Pen-Strep, is the most commonly used antibiotic solution for culture of mammalian cells. Penicillin Streptomycin solution is used to maintain sterile conditions during cell culture, and they show few adverse effects on the cultured cells.

Application

Penicillin-Streptomycin solution is used to supplement cell culture media to control bacterial contamination. It has also been used for the preparation of lipid emulsions. It is recommended for use in cell culture applications at 10 mL/L.

Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
