General description

This antibody will neutralize the biological activity of recombinant mouse TPO. By ELISA, the antibody shows <15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human TPO.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Thrombopoietin is a humoral growth factor that is synthesized in the liver and regulates the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes, and production of platelets. It modulates the response of platelets to various stimuli by regulating the homeostatic potential.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 5% trehalose.
