Application
Septa, tan PTFE/silicone has been used to seal the reactivial containing the by-product sample of snow crab, which is subjected to alkaline liquid phase hydrolysis.
PTFE/silicone septa along with glass headspace vials may be used to contain sample aliquots, in an experimental study using Tenax® pre-trap with the portable gas chromatograph for the detection of grape aroma compounds namely, cis-3-hexen-1-ol, trans-2-hexenal, cis-2-hexen-1-ol and hexanal.
