General description
Vial septa are available in different materials. The septa are selected based on the mainly chemical properties of the sample as well as the temperature to which the vial will be subjected during the analysis. PTFE/Silicone is used with most organic solvents. PTFE/Silicone is not for use with chlorosilanes. It has good resealability and can withstand a temperature of 250°C.
