Cisplatin USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monographs such as:
  • Cisplatin Injection
  • Cisplatin for Injection
  • Carboplatin Injection

Biochem/physiol Actions

Potent platinum-based antineoplastic agent. Forms cytotoxic adducts with the DNA dinucleotide d(pGpG), inducing intrastrand cross-links.
