Application

Orphenadrine citrate salt USP Reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monograph such as Aspirin and Caffeine Tablets

Biochem/physiol Actions

Muscarinic receptor antagonist; H₁ histamine receptor antagonist; muscle relaxant. Orphenadrine has also been reported to inhibit the noradrenergic transporter and to block the NMDA receptor ion channel.
