Povidone USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monographs such as:
  • Vigabatrin for Oral Solution
  • Vigabatrin Tablets

Other Notes

Polyvinylpyrrolidone is a component of Denhardt′s Solution and is included at a concentration of 1% (w/v) in the standard 50X stock solution.

Prick tests showed wheal-and-flare responses to both povidone-iodine (0.1% aqueous) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (povidone, PVP) (0.001% aq.)
